An historic site in Western Massachusetts who interpret the lives of the Shakers who lived here from 1783 to 1960. Here you can learn about the origins of the Shaker religion and lifestyle, the architecture and costumes.
It's a fascinating and fun way to learn about a different culture and you get to spend some time playing with baby animals which includes goats, ducks and chicks.
They also have a Discovery Room for kids with toys, coloring and activities along with dress-up clothes from the era.
