Water the growing plant and not let it dry. The Christmas cactus is liberal of dry, a bit of less water sometimes. Do not let the soil be waterlogged nor let it dry out. Fertilize your soil from time to time but stop doing that as the winter arises. The Christmas flowers are best when they are kept somewhat pot bound. Replacing these pots one in three years becomes necessary.
