Camouflage Material
Bottom line is that, for the serious paintballer, camouflage material isn't enough. If you want to get good, effective battle dress that will protect you from being seen, camo material is a good start, but in the end you have to get dirty. Nonetheless, you do have to dress for the terrain.
A lot of people think that the only camouflage material worth wearing is green jungle fatigues. This way of thinking will defeat the whole point of camouflaged clothing. If you are in a place where you are going to be surrounded by dense foliage, by all mean, then you need to dress in traditional military camouflage material. Go hog wild on it. It will help you blend in to your environment. But don't wear olive drabs when you are going to be running around in the snow, or going throw a maze of industrial gray and black. Although there is no such thing as a cloaking device, and no item of clothing can make you invisible, good camouflage material l is clothing that blends in with your surroundings.
Now to the messy part I was talking about, the part about getting dirty. No matter how good your camouflage material is, it will probably be improved by using objects or filth from your environment. If you are going to be in the swamps, your visibility will be decreased by camouflage material , but the improvement will me much more dramatic if

you are covered in mud. I mean covered ? put it on your face and hands too, as long as you can keep your weapon clean. The more you can look like just another pile of mud, the more effective that your camouflage material will be.
The same goes if you are in an urban setting, although it becomes somewhat trickier. You want to look, not muddy, but dusty and rusty, like a hulk of decaying machine, or the side of an abandoned building then at that time this is trickier and often less effective. It is more likely to take makeup in addition to plain old dirt. Although you can't really look quite as much like your surroundings in an urban setting, the fact that you have more hard cover will work to your definite advantage. If you can hide effectively in the shadows or behind a wall you done need to blend in with your camos .This will do an even better job than camouflage material in insuring that you aren't seen.
