The litigation department at Karol & Karol handles the full spectrum of civil litigation, regulatory issues, criminal matters and arbitration proceedings.
Our litigation department provides strong advocates of our client's position. In resolving business problems, which often require quick and decisive action, we are staffed to respond effectively. We take pride in recognizing those situations that can and should be resolved through negotiation and work toward a settlement prior to trial. For those matters requiring a trial, we have both the experience and ability to litigate to verdict.
In civil matters, we have handled commercial construction disputes, employment discrimination, personal injury, copyright infringement, product liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, contract disputes, secruities fraud, broker-abuse claims, civil rights violations and stockholders' suits.
Our criminal defense experience ranges from representation in federal grand jury investigations of anti-trust violations to military courts-martial to providing personal defense against allegations of white-collar crime.
Our litigation department has an active appellate practice and has argued successfully before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit as well as the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the Supreme Judicial Court.
