You can bike or take bus 39, if you don't drive - If you don't own a car, bus 39 stop is 2 blocks away which goes all the way to Boston downtown, passing longwood. It is also convenient for people who work in downtown who wouldn't mind a commuting time of roughly 30-40 min  - 5 min walk to CVS, 7-11, Whole Food and Centre street on which many restaurants, barbershops, stores are located.    Laundry
